Where in the world is Aliza Goldberg?

Aliza Goldberg: I have spent a year studying in Viterbo, Italy and a semester in Hanoi, Vietnam with School Year Abroad (www.sya.org). After studying oceanography, nautical science and maritime studies in Woods Hole, MA, I sailed in the Atlantic Ocean for two months with Sea Education Association (www.sea.edu), running all aspects of the brigantine and conducting research. Through Columbia's EEEB (ecology, evolution, and environmental biology) department, I did field work at the Mpala Research Centre in the Laikipia District of central Kenya. In the summer of 2012, I returned to Vietnam as an intern at the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi. As a Columbia Global Scholar, I traveled to China and Chile to do comparative socioeconomic research. I just graduated from Barnard College and will continue at Columbia for a Master in International Affairs. Most recently, I received a fellowship in international journalism from the Bridge Program to study in Prague and Istanbul. My blog consists of travel writings throughout the years.
